Gail Weingast, MD, and her vast medicinal studies
November 23, 2018
Gail Weingast, MD, became a medical doctor in 1976 after earning her Doctor of Medicine degree from Boston University’s School of Medicine. This followed her education at Tufts University where she acquired a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. Always wanting to pursue a career in medicine, Weingast moved toward internships, residencies and fellowships in the field after becoming an MD in the mid-1970s. She studied in pediatrics first at Denver’s Colorado General Hospital, working within this specialty for several years. Then in 1980, she moved into radiology before a fellowship in ultrasound in 1983. Her post-graduate studies moved back toward radiology at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver and she continued in this specialty, as well as ultrasound, throughout her medical career.
